documenting journeys

This content has been archived. It may no longer be relevant

I’ve only done this a few times and never really delving deep into the travels themselves, so I thought that maybe I would pick up another hobby such as documenting journeys I take through photographs and hopefully accompanied by flowery words.

I believe there’s a certain something about the different mediums in which to capture emotions and thoughts that never overlap.

It’s been quite some time since I moved platforms for my website. I have realized it’s a lot more difficult finding readers but there’s also that bit of excitement and learning curve when it comes to new things.

Deep in my guts, I believe this new undertaking will help me transition better as it will promote more writing.

That is to say, I hope I don’t flake on myself.

Aside from those worries…

I believe there’s a certain something about the different mediums in which to capture emotions and thoughts that never overlap. Which is to say, whether it’s by paintings, photography, or long speeches, the journey is always portrayed in a new light regardless of how many times it is portrayed. Therefore, as a way to encourage more travels for me in the future, I’m happy to open up this new section in my writing.

As always, I will continue to ramble about the things important to me and hopefully, they find you just fine.

…and about photography

Photography to me is a lot like drawing and painting. It came naturally and I accepted it naturally. Though I hadn’t focused on it since my high school years, I find that taking photos are still quite ingrained due to the basic principles that it shares with drawing. Art is art, I suppose.

I prefer nature as my subject. I’ll be posting more of that than people. Any photos with a person or people or myself will have been taken by someone else. As always, I’ll be sure to credit at the end of the post.

Probably around the time of my first official post, I’ll have a photo gallery for your perusing! That’ll be a lot of fun (and work) to put together but I believe it’ll be worth the while.
